How to Complete The Dragon Ball Strength Training Quests in Fortnite

As Fortnite's massive Dragon Ball crossover rumbles on, a third set of quests has been introduced for players to train and test their strengths. The Strength Training quest set is the third of seven Dragon Ball-themed quest sets to be introduced to Fortnite during the event and features five quests designed to test players' physical strength and skill on the battlefield. Fortnite's crossover with the hit anime series was highly anticipated by fans and has proven to be a good shot in the arm as Fortnite's latest season slowly moves towards its conclusion. Power Unleashed! has several cosmetic rewards that are sure to make Dragon Ball fans very happy indeed, and it also includes rare Battle Pass Levels for those interested in wrapping up the Fortnite Chapter Three Season Three Battle Pass.

Fortnite x Dragon Ball has brought a lot of Dragon Ball-themed content to Fortnite. Over the next week or so, players will be able to enjoy the collaboration between Epic Games and the folks over at Toei Animation with new Dragon Ball-themed special items, including the Kamehameha and Nimbus Cloud appearing in-game, character skins, and dozens of new cosmetics to earn. Players can even visit special custom levels in Fortnite, allowing them to relax and watch episodes of Dragon Ball live in-game and explore iconic locations from the anime rebuilt entirely in-game. Players who know where to look might even encounter one of the anime’s most beloved characters while looting, shooting, and building on the Fortnite island.

Like the Fortnite x Dragon Ball Sparring Practice quest set, the Strength Training quests give players a chance to focus on specific objectives to increase their Power Levels. However, unlike some of the other quest sets introduced to the game during this event, the Strength Training quests are refreshingly simple, with an almost single-minded focus on environmental destruction and damaging other players. However, players shouldn’t assume that this means they’ll have an easy time completing this set of quests. While some can be done with ease, others will prove challenging even for skilled players.

Push Giant Boulders or Timber Pine Logs 500 Meters

Some Fortnite players may already be familiar with the game’s giant boulders, as they have served as objectives for a few quests during Chapter Three, Season Three. This includes one of the quests players can complete earning Indiana Jones-themed content in Fortnite, which tasks players with knocking one of these boulders, so it rolls more than 100 meters. Giant boulders are typically located at the tops of some hills and mountains and aren’t particularly tricky to spot; the snowy northwestern region of the island around Rave Cave and Logjam Lotus has a few. Players must hit the boulders to dislodge them, at which point they’ll roll away and wreck everything in their path, including destructible parts of the environment and players unfortunate enough to be in the way. However, 500 meters is a lengthy distance in Fortnite, and players will likely have to follow behind a boulder and strike it with their pickaxe to keep it moving. Patient players who land at quieter spots can do this quest in a single match.

For players who’d rather spend time completing other Fortnite x Dragon Ball quests instead of searching for a suitable boulder, Timber Pine logs might be a better option. These don’t appear naturally, but players can create them by knocking down large pine trees, which stand out from other trees on the island due to their height. When players knock these trees down with their pickaxes, they leave behind a tree trunk that moves when struck with a pickaxe. While they don’t roll like giant boulders, it’s much easier to find pine trees. As the name suggests, Logjam Lotus, in the northwestern part of the island, is an excellent place to find many pine trees.

Destroy 10 Objects With A Single Kamehameha Attack

Dragon Ball’s Kamehameha is iconic, so naturally, Fortnite x Dragon Ball had to feature it. In Fortnite, the Kamehameha appears as a special Mythic item that players can pick up from various sources, including from the Capsule Corp Capsules that drop randomly during every match, special Dragon Ball Vending Machines, and from trading with Bulma. However, this quest might prove difficult for players familiar with the anime, who might assume that destroying ten objects with Goku’s signature move doesn’t take much effort. Instead, Fortnite’s Kamehameha does an impressive amount of damage but only produces a short blast of energy that isn’t particularly easy to aim.

As such, this quest is similar to one of Fortnite’s Week 10 quests, which tasked players with damaging ten objects with a single spray from a Charge SMG. However, players should try a slightly different approach: use Kamehameha outdoors on buildings with lots of objects inside, such as the Fortnite island’s many shops, restaurants, and gas stations, to complete this quest.

Use The Kamehameha To Destroy A Small Car And A Big Rig Semi-Truck

Like the previous quest, players first need to find and equip the Kamehameha special item; purchasing it from a Dragon Ball Vending Machine or Bulma are guaranteed ways to get one, assuming players have enough Gold Bars to spend. Racing other players to reach Capsule Corp Capsules is also possible, but players should remember that although this is free, their opponents might get there first, armed with Fortnite’s best Chapter 3 Season 3 weapons. Either way, once players have the Kamehameha item, all they need to do is blast a small car for the first stage of this quest and a big rig semi-truck for the second stage.

Most urban areas on Fortnite's island will have at least a few cars. One approach for players who don’t mind some hectic early-game gunfights is to land on the eastern shore of the big lake directly west of Coney Crossroads. A Dragon Ball Vending Machine can be found here, and players can trade for the Kamehameha before journeying directly south, following the road to reach a large petrol station. A small car and a big rig semi-truck can usually be found here together. It’s best to blast them from a distance; unlike Fortnite's animal mounts, cars and petrol pumps will explode after taking enough damage.

Do 300, 600, and 1000 Damage To Opponents Within A Single Match

This is perhaps the most challenging quest in the Strength Training set. While doing 300 and 600 damage in a single match isn’t too tricky, doing 1000 damage is a tough hurdle to clear. Players start with 100HP and can build up a 100HP shield using items such as shield potions for a total of 200HP. Essentially, the final stage of this quest tasks players with doing enough damage to eliminate five fully shielded players in a single match: no small feat even for most skilled players. Players must actively confront several opponents in a game to complete this quest, although they only have to do damage rather than score eliminations.

It’s best to gear up with Fortnite’s top-tier Mythic weapons; Exotic Weapons will do just as well but tend to be quite costly in terms of Gold Bars. Bandages, med-kits, and shield potions are also must-haves to allow players to recover from tough battles. Playing in the Duos, Trios, or Squad modes might mean more kills, but players will have to balance that with the risk that their downed opponents might have teammates who can get payback. Sadly, there are no real tricks or workarounds players can take advantage of here.

Complete 3 Strength Training Quests

Players don’t have to do anything extra to complete this quest. As with other quest sets, completing three of the Strength Training quests will reward the player with a Dragon Ball. Sadly, collecting these Dragon Balls won’t earn the player any of the premium Dragon Ball character skins in Fortnite’s Item Shop. Still, by collecting seven Dragon Balls, they can earn a glider based on Dragon Ball’s divine dragon deity Shenron.

Given what it tasks players to do, the Strength Training quest set more than lives up to its name. However, for players worried about completing these quests, it’s worth remembering that there are still several days before this event in Fortnite ends and more than enough time to gradually build up their strength and skill.
