The launch of Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 3 has brought with it a completely different feel to the battle royale island. While the island was embroiled in an all out war, Season 3 seems to be the complete opposite, bringing all sorts of new activities including a massive rollercoaster called the Screwballer that uses the Baller roller vehicles to simulate an actual theme park ride. Better yet, the plunger grapple tool to cause a little havoc while riding.
The season known as Vibin' also sees a new biome within the island called Reality Falls where a massive forest of mushrooms have spouted up around the massive Reality Tree. While players can certainly bounce on the huge mushrooms, search for loot in the caverns, or use the geysers to gain some extra height, Epic Games has teased that the Reality Tree will be evolving over the season and changing other parts of the island in the process.
New mythic weapons are also back in Fortnite during Chapter 3, season 3, though players will have to work a bit before they can get their hands on them. The process taps into a new mechanic from the Reality Tree involving planting Reality Seed Pods and helping them grow. Here's everything players need to know.
vibin fortniteMythic Weapons Available During Chapter 3, Season 3
Mythic weapons are nothing new to Fortnite, typically earned from bringing down unique bosses like Midas, Deadpool, and Doctor Sloane to name a few. These weapons and items are a special rarity or upgraded versions of normal weapons with special behaviors or perks.
Within the Vibin' Season of Fortnite, players will be able to earn the following Mythic Weapons:
- Auto Shotgun
- Ranger Assault Rifle
- Heavy Sniper Rifle
- Striker Pump Shotgun
How To Get Mythic Weapons
Unlike past seasons which required Fortnite players to take down AI bosses, this season requires more of a green thumb. Without any bosses to take down, players will instead need to head to the Reality Falls point of interest and destroying round, purple plants. Doing so drops Reality Seeds, which can be gathered and planted in the ground where it will eventually grow into a Reality Sapling. Keep in mind that this Sapling isn't protected or unique to each player. Anyone can loot these trees, which will prevent players from upgrading to Mythic level loot. Ultimately, players will want to find a spot away from crowded areas or populated points of interests to protect the loot.
Once a seed has been planted, Fortnite players will notice that a weeding timer will appear on the left side of the map from the pause menu. When the timer reaches zero, players can head back to the Sapling to pluck the weeds, which will then upgrade the potential loot that drops from the fruit. However, players should wait to loot the fruit to continue the timed process of weeding. The process can take a while as the rarity moves through the tiers of Uncommon to Rare, then Epic, Legendary, and finally, Mythic.
Fortnite is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
