Following the epic live event that took place on saturday, the servers entered an extended period of maintenance. With fortnite now in downtime, we can reasonably expect fortnite season 3 to kick off some time tomorrow morning, june 5. The “collision” playlist will be available in fortnite 30 minutes prior to the 4 pm et start time, giving players enough time.

We now know what time the Fortnite live event is due to start, thanks to an official announcement from Epic about when the Collision event will be taking place. Previously all we had to work with was speculation based on certain details lifted from the files by dataminers, but the developers have now given us solid facts on the matter. Along with the appearance of an in-game countdown clock, we can see that the giant mech in the background of the Fortnite lobby screen has been fully constructed, while recent quests and the imminent addition of Mecha Weapons Team Outfits to the Item Shop suggest this huge robot will have a big part to play in deciding the fate of the Zero Point. If you've completed the Week 10 Resistance Quest to set up a Generator near the Holotable in Fortnite, then you'll already have received a sneak peek at the Imagined Order's plans. It appears that the tower built at The Collider is channeling huge amounts of energy, leading to a collapse in the Zero Point that wipes out everything in the Loop. Follow this up with the Week 11 assignment to collect the Fortnite fuel cells that will power the recently constructed mech, and things are really shaping up for the battle ahead.

How to watch the Fortnite live event

While some previous Fortnite live events have premiered on YouTube, the more recent events such as Operation Sky Fire and The End have been fully interactive experiences that you can only take part in through the game, and Collision is following this route. This will be another one shot in-game Fortnite live event and Epic have warned that replay mode will not be available for these proceedings, so streamers and players alike should take steps to record their gameplay if they want to share it later. What time is the Fortnite live event

Now we have official confirmation of the Fortnite live event, we also know what time Collision is going to start. Everything is due to kick off on Saturday June 4 at 1pm PT / 4pm ET / 9pm BST, so expect fireworks to start flying then as another almighty battle over the Zero Point begins. Log in at any point from 5am PT / 8am ET / 1pm BST on that date, and you'll receive an exclusive loading screen and lobby track related to the event.

These Fortnite live events are always exceedingly popular, so here are some tips to make sure you don't miss out when the start time arrives. Firstly, check in advance that you have the latest version of Fortnite downloaded and installed. Next, it's advised that you log into the game at least an hour prior to the event start time, in case the servers start to reach capacity, then keep a look out for the event playlist to go live approximately 30 minutes before the start time so you can jump in and reserve your spot for the event.
