It's never quiet for long in the world of Fortnite, and this week's big news comes courtesy of eagle-eyes players who tuned in to the Unreal Engine livestream earlier this week.
During the show, there was a section taking about the popular battle royale game and on-screen, there were some folders that could be identified as 'Doom', 'Family Guy' and, 'Vader'.
One thing we know about Epic, is that if we aren't meant to see something, they won't let it be shown. It appears that this tease could be very intentional, as it links back to three crossovers that have been talked about for years.
As far back as I can remember, players have been requesting a Darth Vader skin and with rumours of afull-on Star Wars season soon, it seems like the perfect time to build this tease. There is also the chance that it has something to do with an event planned for early May instead.
Doomguy is both a classic gaming icon and current superstar. The revival of the Doom franchise under Bethesda & ID Software mean this skin coming to Fortnite would be very relevant and welcomed with open arms. He would join a long list of gaming heroes to make the jump including; Kratos, Master Chief, Eivor, Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine & more!
Finally, we have the possibility of Family Guy skins, which is the strangest tease of the three. Due to the animation style of Family Guy, it's hard to imagine how their skins would look in Fortnite.
However, where there's a will, there's a way. While Family Guy has certainly seen its most popular days pass it by, there's no harm is seeing whether or not a well-planned Fortnite crossover can't help rejuvenate the show.
