As Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 continues, Epic Games released the v21.10 update filled with content including Super Styles, a new The Nindo event, and more. Alongside the content comes two new additions, namely the Fortnite Social Tags and Looking For Party features.
In this guide, we explain what Fortnite Social Tags are, how you can add them to your profile, and how it all ties into the Looking For Party feature.
Fortnite Social Tags explained - How to add
With Fortnite Social Tags, players are able to express how they play the game. Following the v21.10 update, there is now an option to add up to three Social Tags to your profile for other players to see.

- Fortnite Firework Gun - How to get, release date, more
- How to enter the wind tunnel in a Baller at The ScrewBaller in Fortnite
- Fortnite Recording Symbol - Why does it say Recording on Fortnite?
Players can choose Fortnite Social Tags to express their favorite game modes, for example, Deathrun, Free-for-All, and more. You can also, for example, share your gameplay "vibes" according to Epic Games, such as "Chill", "Mic Off" and more.
Furthermore, players can add a Fortnite Social Tag for their preferred competitive events, such as the Hype Cup, Cosmetic Cup, and more.
To add Social Tags to your Fortnite profile, follow the steps below.
- Launch Fortnite.
- Click on your profile icon in the sidebar.
- Select "+Add Tag" and pick the Social Tag you would like to add.
It is really as simple as that. Once you have at least one social tag, you’ll be able to send party invites to and receive party invites from players in your server region with matching tags.
Fortnite Looking For Party invites
With these Fortnite Social Tags set, you can also send party invites from the new Looking For Party section in the sidebar.
Think of the Fortnite Looking For Party feature as the game's own version of LFG. Here, you can team up with other players based on your Social Tags (aka interests) and region.
Epic Games explains in a new Fortnite v21.10 update post: "In this section, you will need to turn on Looking For Party in order to start sending and receiving invites from players.
"At any time, you can turn Looking For Party off. When off, you’ll stop receiving invites and have your sent invites expire. When playing Duos, Trios, Squads, etc., using Looking For Party is optional - the normal invite system for partying up will remain."
It is important to note that the Fortnite Social Tags and Looking For Party features are currently in a testing phase. This means that not all players will have access to the features.
Epic Games notes that: "These features will be incrementally rolled out to all players at a rate dependent on the test."
So there you have it, instructions on how to add Social Tags to your Fortnite profile, and how the Looking For Party feature works.
