Indiana Jones—a man named after the family dog—has arrived in Fortnite along with a new location on the Chapter 3 map dedicated to the Nazi-fighting archeologist.
That location is called Shuffled Shrines and it’s entirely dedicated to our bullwhipping, treasure-hunting hero and his previous cinematic outings. There’s even an idol shaped like the Durrburger.
A number of quests have been released for Indie’s entrance into the battle royale game. These are:
- Search chests at Shifty Shafts (5)- Indiana Jones Banner Icon
- Damage opponents while riding or standing on a vehicle (500) – Rogue Archaeology wrap
- Use the Grapple Glove to swing off trees (10)- Raider’s Relics harvesting tool
- Collect the Durrburger Relic from The Temple and The Ruins in a single match- Expedition Bag backbling
- Find the Secret Door past the main chamber in Shuffled Shrines- Indy’s Dustoff emote
- Stash a Mythic or Exotic item in a tent- Indy’s Escape spray
- Make Runaway Boulders roll for 100 meters in a single match- First Misadventure Loading Screen
- Finish top 5 in a match- Emergency Raft glider
For the purposes of this guide, we’ll be looking at the Secret Door challenge which will earn you Indy’s Dustoff emote. You’ll also work toward unlocking Indiana’s alternative style plus get some XP.
How To Find The Secret Door Past The Main Chamber In Shuffled Shrines
Shuffled Shrines is located in the southeast quadrant of the map between Rocky Reels and The Joneses.
Once you arrive here you’ll need to search the location and find four runes scattered around the edges of Shuffled Shrines. These runes will change each game, so there’s no set pattern to lay out here in this guide.
Once you find the runes, head to the center of the shrine and you’ll find four little stone triangles with runes on them. Rotate these until they match the runes you found along the edges of the location, left to right matching the numbers in the below map, so the furthest left will be #1, second to left is #2 and so forth.
Once they all line up, golden light will pour from their tips and a big stone door will open up. You can run through this next section (filled with traps) to find the Durrburger relic.
To complete the quest, however, you’ll need to look to the right where a large bush covers the wall. Behind this is a secret door with some chests on the other side. Passing through this door will complete the quest.
