Elden Ring minimum & recommended PC requirements
PC players were anxiously awaiting Elden Ring’s PC requirements, and after they were finally revealed by the devs on February 15, came in much higher than fans expected.
Minimum specs | Recommended specs | |
OS | Windows 10 | Windows 11/10 |
Processor | Intel Core i5 8400 or AMD Ryzen 3 3300X | Intel Core i7-8700K or Ryzen 5 3600X |
Memory | 12GB RAM | 16GB RAM |
Graphics | Nvidia GeForce 1060 3GB or AMD Radeon RX 580 4GB | Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 8GB or AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 8GB |
DirectX | 12 (feature level 12.0) | 12 (feature level 12.0) |
Storage | 60GB | 60GB |
Sound Card | Windows-compatible Audio Device | Windows-compatible Audio Device |
It seems a budget rig won’t cut the mustard when it comes to FromSoftware’s latest title, as you’ll need at least 12GB of RAM, an Intel Core i5 8400, and an Nvidia Geforce 1060 with 3GB of VRAM to play. Even still, players on high-end PCs are reporting low FPS issues.
Best Elden Ring PC settings
We’ll be detailing the best PC settings for players with hardware at the lower end of the spectrum, but they’ll work for any rig if you’re looking for the smoothest experience possible.

Elden Ring is locked at 60 frames per second and while not an ideal FPS for most PC gamers, it means we can still keep the visual quality up and still achieve the maximum framerate.
- Screen Mode: Fullscreen
- Resolution: Your monitor’s resolution, e.g 1920×1080
- Auto-Detect Best Rendering Settings: On
- Quality Settings: Custom
- Texture Quality: Medium
- Antialiasing Quality: Low
- SSAO: Medium
- Depth of Field: Off
- Motion Blur: Off
- Shadow Quality: Low
- Lighting Quality: Medium
- Effects Quality: Medium
- Volumetric Quality: Medium
- Reflection Quality: Medium
- Water Surface Quality: Medium
- Shader Quality: Medium
- Global Illumination: Medium
- Grass Quality: Medium
Of course, these settings all depend on how powerful your rig is, and what resolution you’re trying to run it at. 1080p will be much less demanding than 4K, for example. But, these settings are a great baseline to start with, and then you can adjust them accordingly.
But we recommend keeping Depth of Field and Motion Blur settings off on every game you play, as they add unnecessary visual effects to your game without affecting performance.
Elden Ring PC specs
Bandai Namco revealed the PC specs for Elden Ring, confirming that the game supports 4K resolution, with RTX Raytracing coming later through a patch. Players have been disappointed that the game is locked at 60 FPS, though.

Does Elden Ring have NVIDIA DLSS?
Unfortunately, Elden Ring does not feature DLSS support at launch. DLSS is a technology that allows players with RTX GPUs to set their game at a lower resolution, increasing performance, but giving the appearance of a higher resolution.

DLSS would be a major benefit to players who want to enable the Ray Tracing mode, so it’s possible that it will arrive in a future update, but we’ll need to wait for official confirmation.
