nite owl fortnite
The games aren’t short (pic: Sony) without Blood.
Readers discuss the longest they’ve ever played video games, and what they did about eating and having gone to the toilet.
The subject for this week Hot Topic was suggested by The readers who asked what the longest you’ve ever played without a break. Have you been meaning to play a long time, and do you need some more planning?
One can tell the difference between how long your length is. However, the most common reason for an extra long gaming session was chasing achievements and being alone for the night.
I was young in age. As with me, I started playing Bloodborne on Friday evening, and then, while having a surprising amount of success, that play ended up being played the whole night, going to bed on Saturday at normal time (well, a bit early, to be honest).
I always have a bit of night owl and still play until 3 or 4 in the morning without a lot of trouble. This time, I was so excited for the game that I couldn’t stop myself. My girlfriend was away for the weekend so I didn’t have to worry about anyone else, just where I was going to break my toilet, and because it’s a From game, you cant relax at any moment.
Once I realized how things were going, I found a safe place to stop and have a good dinner. I found everything I could find in the kitchen and put it into the living room next to me.
To be honest, becoming an energizing slob was a real pleasure, and so I revelled in this nerdish decadence. I’m very far in that game, I broke the back of it, so to speak, and my favorite memory is that of it. I’ve never really had the chance to repeat it, though as it is. What you would like to do with anyone else in the house?
Christmas memoriesThe longest session I have had was an absolutely marathon of eight or nine hours on Zelda: Ocarina Of Time back in 1998, which continued until the wee little hours. After receiving it on Christmas Day and its a beautiful memory filled with nostalgia, I played it together.
There was exercise, of course, but I certainly wouldn’t allow my own children to indulge in such a huge amount of weight. While it was very fun, the shadow temple and the legendary Bongo boss were all there with hands moving towards you.
My gaming sessions have definitely shortened as I’ve gotten older, although there have been a few epic ones still. XCOM, Dishonored, Subnautica and Elden Ring come back soon.
Sundays Cheshire-TuesdayThe longest games that I’ve ever had been playing for about six hours. It doesn’t seem that long to most people, but I just like to play an hour every time. My eyes tire of it as I look to get an hour at the same time. Unfortunately, the very rainy Sunday afternoon required a little help from my boredom. Therefore, I went on a very large session playing Batman: Arkham Knight.
I had already finished the main story but thought I could go for the platinum. I knew, under normal circumstances, that there was a very large amount of space to go. This Sunday afternoon session took over a large chunk of what I had left to do and I did all that.
The Arkham games have always been great when it comes to side missions and collectibles with Riddler trophies, sometimes little puzzles. By the end of the day I received the platinum and it was a Sunday and it went well to be spent.Zarrahz – Now playing : Metroid (Switch), Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate Daemonhunters (Steam Deck), and F1 22 (PC).
Half a day Now that the sleeping patterns are all but bad now, my longest session still remains Skies Of Arcadia. It was only 20 years ago after it was renewed and now has two years to go by.
I guess I started a few times in the afternoon, but I was unemployed and had plenty of time on my hands. I may have been at Daccats Island at the start of the day, a dungeon in which your party split two teams of two, and ended just as Galcian raised the base of the beach. He then destroyed his base, but still destroyed the beach, and then a nympho tucked down on the cliff.
I just couldn’t break myself up. I saved and quit about half-three minutes in the morning. For example, if you’d take pauses for food and take a holiday, you would probably be at risk of over 12 hours.
I cannot do that this time. Games. They are a boy, ey?DMR?
The Great war My longest gaming session was around 15 years ago for Advance Wars.
Myself and three other friends played game game with Game Boy Player. We always made a map and it took about an hour and a half.
We began in the evening, so there wasn’t a real breakthrough. In the early hours I snuck into the party’s HQ and took his army out in one move with Samis Super Co. After that, he went to the couch and was whipped. The ramble of angry accusation from the other two friends that he did just allow his army out.
A few hours later, the sun soared. The other two friends took me out and then two more hours went by to win.
The friend who had gone to sleep woke up, went to work and told us to lock the door and put the key through the letterbox and hid the spare key.
It took over twenty hours to win. I treasure your songs.
Game unknown to date. If I have one-player games, I play many times a day.TommyFatFingers Plays for two or four hours a day.
GC: Go to all these details: Clearly!
I rarely talk back to you for the longest time. But, at the moment, it’s usually because I feel like I had enough of that. Longer gaming is usually reserved for moments of change to find something, so that only to do so will it be a pleasure to overcome something or to have to find something more before I get to sleep.
I could imagine I would’ve been staying on for about six hours, before parents decided I should have done something else, like having tea or doing housework.
The time for me is not necessary now. I feel time goes by very quickly in real life, but is wasting time when you are in a game?
Despite two achievements, my absolute longest was to survive in Dead Rising for 5 and seven days, respectively. The Xbox 360 had to be on for over 14 hours or something, but it’s seven days off. If you don’t do anything like that, you have to start again. I also forgot to feed myself on time and died of hunger.
I was completely drained and practically starved in the real world while trying to survive in the game. In addition, it was needed to give the following a drastic break for eating and putting out some food. This is because of the fact that no pauses were found in the game and the long time in the game continues on.
But boy, it was good and at the same time a huge gaming success. As far as the future has come, my Xbox 360 has survived as a long-term success as it’s possible to run over the heat. Except for four to five hours, which would be great in a normal gaming session, I wasn’t able to do all that I could do now.
The subject for this weekends Inbox was suggested by the reader Tolly, who asked whats the longest time you’ve ever had.
Simply put, what time is it that you have never played a game without a break? Did you purposefully try to play that long? What preparation did you make for it?
Have you ever been sitting down to play and surprised yourself with the long time that you’ve been there after you’ve finished? Do you believe this is appropriate, and generally speaking, what time is your preferred length of time for a gaming session?
