Read ahead to find out everything and more about this new addition to the Season of the Haunted in Destiny 2.
Can You Get A Scythe In Destiny 2?
The new Scythe weapon appears exclusively during the Nightmare Containment activities. This will be unlocked and available to all Guardians after completing Operation Midas at the beginning of Season of the Haunted and collecting your Nightmare Harvester from the H.E.L.M. Once the Nightmare Harvester is yours, head over to the Moon and travel to the Castellum on the lower-left side of the map screen. Selecting it will drop you at the Derelict Leviathan, where the Nightmare Containment activities can be commenced. You will be facing swarms of Dread Bearers and Nightmares during these events, so keep on your toes to not get overrun by the terrifying enemies. While you charge your Nightmare Harvester if you submerge a Core of Dread, an item that the Dread Bearers drop, you will be allowed to pick up a Scythe for use.

The Scythe can be used as a ranged and melee weapon, giving you the power to shred through your foes with frightening ease. As long as you are in the Derelict Leviathan and can pick up a Core of Dread, you will be able to obtain the limited weapon for the Nightmare Containment activities. The Scythe, as of right now, is not able to be used anywhere else, so if you want to make the most of it and enjoy the weapon, you will need to run this activity. So grab those cores and start bringing maximum pain to those Nightmares and Dread Bearers with your new toy!
