How Long Are Fortnite Servers Down For Chapter 3 Season 2?

Epic Games has confirmed that Fortnite downtime will start on Sunday, March 20, at around 7am GMT. The team has also warned that Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 maintenance warnings will begin 30 minutes before, with players being kicked during that period. This means you should finish all your business within the game, including spending any currency that might disappear, by 6am GMT.

A message from Epic Games adds: “Downtime for Chapter 3 Season 2 will start at 3:00 AM ET (07:00 UTC) with matchmaking being disabled 30 minutes prior.”

Unlike past season releases, Epic Games has not shared an estimated downtime guide for how long maintenance could last. However, based on previous updates, we would expect Fortnite downtime to take at least two hours, with the new season starting between 9am GMT and 1pm GMT. Gamers will be able to follow all the latest news directly from Epic Games, who will share when maintenance begins and ends via its social media platforms.

No further information has been shared by Epic Games regarding what new content will be added to the game this weekend. Recent leaks have suggested that Doctor Strange skins will be coming to the game during Chapter 3 Season 2. It’s unclear in what guise but based on how Spider-Man took centre stage last time, there is a good chance that Doctor Strange will fill a similar role in March and beyond.
