Fortnite Adds A New Assassin's Creed Skin, This Time From Valhalla

The axiom skin in fortnite is seldom talked about, mostly down to the fact that it has only appeared in the item shop twice, with the last time being in july 2019. The game has undergone some huge changes during the course of season 5, with the mandalorian crossover seeing more outfits from the world of star wars arrive in the fortnite item shop and battle pass rewards. You can purchase the prime 2.0 odin skin for 1775 vps in the valorant store.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla's Eivor Varinsdottir has been confirmed alongside Ezio Auditore as the next guest character skin to come to Fortnite.

The next Fortnite crossover skin has just been confirmed, and it will be Eivor from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Epic’s blockbuster multiplayer battle royale title has seen guest character skins from a wide range of media, from comic book legends like Spider-Man to video game stars like God Of War’s Kratos and Horizon Forbidden West’s Aloy. It has reached the point where some Fortnite fans are growing weary of the many crossovers the game has added over the years, as many feel that the crossovers are starting to distract from the base-building and over-the-shoulder shooting gameplay that made Fortnite such a success in the first place.

This concern isn’t stopping Epic from adding even more gaming icons to the ever-growing list of established characters that have dropped into Fortnite, including the Italian Renascence-era playboy-turned-revolutionary Ezio Auditore da Firenze from Assassin’s Creed II. Ezio isn’t the only protagonist from Ubisoft’s long-running historical action franchise that is bound for Fortnite’s Island either, as rumors have hinted that Assassin Creed: Valhalla’s Eivor Varinsdottir would be added as a playable skin since last week. A more recent leak has suggested that this crossover between Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Fortnite could go live as early as this weekend, but now Eivor’s impending arrival in Fortnite has officially been confirmed.

Earlier today, the official Assassin’s Creed Twitter page posted a promotional image revealing that the female version of Eivor will be joining Ezio in Fortnite, complete with a good look at her character skin. Sure enough, Eivor is clad in her furry warrior garb from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, albeit with a more stylized look to match Fortnite’s more vibrant and cartoon-like esthetic. Furthermore, the latest Fortnite post on Epic Games' official website reveals that both Eivor and Ezio will come with special weapons like Ezio’s Hidden Blades and Eivor’s twin Handaxes of the Raven Clan, as well as special Emotes, Gliders, and Back Bling items - all of which will be made available to purchase in the Fortnite Item Shop starting on April 7 at 8 PM.

Players were first introduced to the customizable Eivor Varinsdottir in 2020’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, where they led their Viking clan to a new home in the British Isles between the years 872 and 878 AD, a task that eventually draws them into the ancient conflict between the shadowy Templars and heroic Assassins. Later Assassin’s Creed Valhalla DLC expansions would extend Eivor’s story as they worked to take down a sinister Druid cult in Ireland and participated in the historical Siege of Paris. The latest Assassin’s Creed Valhalla expansion served as something of a departure from the standard Assassin’s Creed formula though, as Dawn of Ragnarok shift the spotlight to Eivor’s great ancestor, the mystical Norse god Odin, in a battle to avenge his murdered son amid the titular end of the world.

In the meantime, Fortnite is continuing to expand and redefine itself in the recent Zero Build Mode update, which shook up the game’s formula by removing the building mechanics that were a part of Fortnite since its inception. As the Island continues to change, players can expect to see more familiar faces like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Eivor Varinsdottir once the Fortnite crossover content goes live later this week.
