kaws x fortnite companion skin pack is here
The KAWS x Fortnite Halloween skin pack is here.
The two sides recently teased audiences with the artist’s familiar iconography on a teaser Fortnightmares card, as part of the game’s weekly roundup of upcoming skins. Last night, the team at Epic Games released what is being dubbed the KAWS Skeleton Outfit in the Item Shop — four “COMPANION” skins that come in orange, green, pink, and a bone colorway.
Fortnite is no stranger to collaborating with members of mass culture, having done so recently with Balenciaga and in 2020 with Travis Scott. However, the KAWS collab is the first time the game has worked with a high-profile artist — further cementing the fact that the worlds of fashion, music, and art are seeping into the fervent and lucrative realm of gaming.
The Fortnite “COMPANION” skins are available in time for spooky season and join a host of other Halloween-inspired outfits, such as Frankenstein and former lead actor for The Walking Dead, Rick Grimes.
In case you missed it, FIFA will end its exclusive partnership with EA Sports.
